LOCANDA

Locanda is a body of work produced by Patterson after a trip to Northern Italy. She is still working on this series. She produced a series of drawings on restaurant menus that highlight architectural features and light events of certain towns. The color derives from perceptual events that were evident in the landscape and cities. Upon returning to the United States Patterson used the drawings as source material to begin work on the paintings.
